I recently used Premier Shutters to outfit my entire house with shutters. I had obtained a quote for shutters on two different occasions in the past, both times I was unable to move forward because of cost. Last December I found Premier Shutters and called them out for a quote. To my surprise, the price was almost half of what I had been previously quoted. I was FINALLY able to get my shutters!! On top of the unbelievable price, the consultant who quoted me, was great to work with. She called me periodically to update me on the progress of my order and always returned my calls promptly if I had any questions. I highly recommend Premier Shutters if you are looking to get shutters for your home. They deliver a great, beautiful product with fantastic customer service!
I recently purchased my 1st home(after moving to Northern, Va. 3 years ago). And I had been wanting plantation shutters for quite some time. My parents had them throughout their home and there quite simply is nothing like the look and warmth that they give a home. So, upon purchasing my first home I set out to call on a few local companies that specialized in plantation shutters. I always felt it was a good rule of thumb to get a couple of quotes and see what they each offer. So, I called on two of the larger franchised companies in the area and then happened upon a smaller operation in the area, Steve Scott’s Plantation Shutters.
I liked their website, it was very informative and it also stated that they had the guaranteed lowest prices. I already had the other 2 companies come out to my home, I called this 3rd company that I found on the web and I talked to Steve Scott(the owner). He was nice and not only very knowledgeable. But also, talked to me on the phone for a good 20+ minutes explaining what he offered, etc. He was quite a bit more knowledgeable than the other people I talked to.
So I set up an appt. with him and he came out a few days later. He measured and spent a good amount of time going over the product, features, and layout of the windows, etc. Moreover, he had a nice portfolio of his work. I felt so much more comfortable talking to him. It was very apparent that he was very experienced in shutters, and covered things that the other companies did even think to go over with me.
His price was quite a bit lower, yet the quality of the product was just as good, if not better than what the others offered. Needless to say, I contracted with him to put shutters in my new home. He called me at the 5-week mark and advised that the shutters would be ready to install the following week. Steve Scott came out to do the installation and was here all day. He did a great job and the shutters look even better than I had thought they would.
Normally I would have never thought to go with a smaller family operation such as this one, but Steve just offered a much more personal touch to the whole experience and he was very kind and easy to work with. And he does really good work and I would definitely recommend his company to anyone looking to put shutters in their windows.

This is the 3rd home in which I’ve had shutters and I will not ever go another route for the window coverings. I love the rich, clean finished look that shutters offer. I had this company install shutters in my last home 4 years ago. And I was eager to call on Steve again for the new home I just purchased.
I did have a delay in delivery but it was my fault ( I provided the wrong color at the time of placing my order). Despite that, Steve repainted the shutters with the correct color and got them back to me in a timely manner! And they look great- just like the first time around. Words really can’t express how satisfied we are with the service and the high quality plantation shutters that we received from Steve Scott’s Plantation Shutters. We originally received their company name from a colleague at work who used them and was very very happy with their service, high quality product and the lowest prices. But just to satisfy our own peace of mind we did get 2 other quotes on the plantation shutters after we had the owner Steve Scott come out. We were quick to access that we should have not even bothered getting any other quotes other than the one from Steve Scott’s Plantation Shutters.!
His company was over 30-40% less than the other 2 quotes we got! So we then contracted with Steve Scott’s Plantation Shutters to order custom plantation shutters in all the windows in our new home. Moreover our beautiful new shutters were installed as promised in 4-6 weeks. We again can not express how happy we truly are with the whole experience from start to finish!! Steve even gave us a courtesy call at 3 weeks to kindly let us know that our shutters were close to being completed and went ahead and setup an installation date right then with us!
Ultimately, the quality of our new shutters, the service we received and how they look in all our windows far exceeds our expectations!!
